Such A Waist

A stroll, a walk a took one morn and saw
such plain, mundane, the folks i passed that day
all thought had slipp’d from mind to wond’ring stray
I nearly fell, my jaw dropp’d down in awe
and suddenly a lady with bear claw
(i was aware but of the far away)
She took a bite, disgust, her face display
and threw the thing far from her sight and maw
i shook my head with sadness then to see
such a waste of such a delicious thing
and bent my head, for her shape would not have
an ounce of change if finished it she
but now the claw on ground to mind does bring
that tasty thing’s smaller than that girl’s calve
