A Beach Road

dim light diffused in a midnight room

shadows on the wall

darkness here, it does but loom

shadows from the hall
,

daybreak too far to think or hope

long roads through the night

leading far up a midnight slope

shelter, none in sight
,

weary eyes search weary roads too far

turning out of reach

the valley walls rise beyond the star

twinkling on that beach
,

sands reflecting darkness but the star

waves crash soundlessly

the road passes by the beach thus far

winding endlessly
,

night has hold of heaven and earth

none shall ever pass

and i walk on to find my berth

walking to the last
